Forty-five family members gathered at the home of Mrs. Ira Brown on East Robert Toombs Avenue Sunday, October 8, to celebrate her 94th birthday. Mrs. Brown, the former Mildred Carey, was 94 on October 10.

Flower arrangements from family and friends were placed throughout the house in honor of the celebration.

A beautiful arrangement of Rubrum lilies graced the main table. These were a gift to Mrs. Brown from Mrs. William C. Johnson and Mr. and Mrs. Bob Guin, Britney and Lindsey.

Her birthday cake was iced in white cream icing with pink rosebuds. A "94" candle topped the cake. Another pretty and unusual cake, a gift of Mr. and Mrs. Eric Starks of Hartwell, was iced in white cream icing. The top featured a picture of Mrs. Brown in her younger years.

After dinner everyone joined in singing "Happy Birthday" and ice cream and cake were served.
