Members of the Young-at-Heart of the First United Methodist Church enjoyed a trip to the mountains of North Georgia on Monday, October 23.

The group left Washington early and enjoyed a stop in Elberton for breakfast at McDonald's. From there they continued to Toccoa, Clayton, and Rabun Gap where they bought delicious apples and other fresh vegetables. Upon their arrival in Hiawassee, they had lunch at the Georgia Mountain Restaurant.

Their journey toward home was by way of Blairsville, Cleveland, and Gainesville. Before returning to Washington they stopped for dinner at Wendy's in Athens.

The group enjoyed the crisp weather and clear blue skies both helping to make the colorful leaves and the day even more beautiful.

On the trip were Hugh and Sue Warren, Emory and Henry Sayer, Lewis and Ann cook, Dot Branham and Gertrude Tyler.
