The Washington Little Theater will hold auditions for "Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols" on Sunday, November 5, at The Playhouse on North Alexander Avenue beginning at 3 p.m.

This musical event is based on the 90-year-old service that began at King's College in Cambridge, England. The festival ushers in the Christmas season with choral music, congregational carols, and beautiful readings.

For the audition, all singers are asked to bring a prepared Christmas carol. An accompanist will be pro- vided. Whether you sing in your local church choir or in the shower, all those 16 or older are invited to come and audition.

Due to the short amount of rehearsal time, practices will be held on Sunday afternoons and Monday and Thursday evenings for a total of 11 rehearsals.
