Students of the Washington- Wilkes Comprehensive High School yearbook staff, led by coeditors Kelley Roberts and Katie Haughey, are working hard to create the 2006-2007 edition of "The Tiger."

This year's book will be the 52nd edition in a series that dates back to 1954.

Over the past couple of months, the students have learned the program Adobe InDesign, which they are now using to create the layout for the book. The students have also met with the Jostens representative, Steve Vollenweider, to establish this year's theme and cover. The theme and cover will be kept secret by the Yearbook Staff until the yearbook is distributed.

Staff members have also been busy selling business ads for the yearbook. The support of local businesses in the purchase of the business ads is essential. The staff is also selling senior ads. These ads can be purchased by the parents of seniors by contacting Amy Harkins, yearbook advisor. Anyone who would like to purchase a yearbook may contact Mrs. Harkins or go online to yearbooksonsale.com. The price of yearbooks is $45 until Christmas Break. After the break the price will go up to $50.
