Four Briarwood Academy students from Washington-Wilkes will be competing for the title of 2006 Homecoming Queen this Friday night at the school. Seniors Ali Dyson, Liz Grant, Angela Kirkland, and Olivia Lyons will represent their class for Homecoming 2006 in ceremonies at the football game between the Briarwood Buccaneers and Pinecrest Academy of Cumming Friday, November 3, at Briarwood.

Pregame activities, which begin at 7 p.m., include the introduction of the Homecoming Court, which is composed of senior candidates for queen. The queen, who will be elected by the high school student body, will be crowned at halftime.

Ali Dyson is the daughter of George and April Dyson. She will be escorted onto the field for pregame ceremonies by senior Joseph Batrous, son of Joe and Vicki Batrous, and for halftime ceremonies by her father.

Liz Grant is the daughter of Bill and Melissa Grant. She will be escorted onto the field for pre-game ceremonies by senior Kyle Ewest and for halftime ceremonies by her father.

Angela Kirkland is the daughter of Bob and Judy Kirkland. She will be escorted for pre-game ceremonies by senior David Russell and for halftime ceremonies by her father.

Olivia Lyons is the daughter of Cynthia and Mark Walker of Washington

and Mark and Jamey Lyons of Thomson. She will be escorted for pre-game ceremonies by her

brother, freshman Jackson Lyons, and for halftime ceremonies by her father, Mark Lyons.
