Aonia News
"Well done thou good and faithful servant" reminds us of our pastor, Rev. Albert Huyck, who retired Sunday after serving as pastor at Ebenezer Baptist Church for a little over nine years. We had a wonderful day but a little sad to see him go. I'm sure he will remain in our hearts for a long time and our friendship with him and Doe will never cease. His message, "A Time of Thanksgiving," taken from II Corinthians 9:15, was our sermon for Sunday. The Lord's Supper was observed after the sermon. We will keep him and Eudora in our hearts and minds forever and we know the Lord will still use him in other ways. Thanks, Preacher Huyck, for teaching, preaching, and being our spiritual leader and friend at Ebenezer. We hope you will enjoy your retirement. I had an appointment in Augusta several days the past week and also visited in Lincoln County. I was guest of Mrs. Lamar LeRoy for a belated birthday dinner on Tuesday at the LeRoy home.
