Graveside services for Charles David Bridges, 55, of Greenwood, S.C., were held Saturday, October 28, 2006, at Plum Branch Cemetery in Plum Branch, S.C., with Rev. Robert C. Rayner officiating. He died October 25 at his home.

Mr. Bridges was a native of Wilkes County and was the son of the late Bowden Wills and Zadie Mae Brown Bridges. He was a trade supervisor with McCormick Correctional

Institute for almost 20 years and was a member of the Phillips Mill Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Virginia Elaine Ridlehoover Bridges; a son, Dan Bridges, Parksville, S.C.; and two sisters, Carolyn Burnam of Washington, and Dorothy B. McCord of Thomson.

Blyth Funeral Home of Greenwood, S.C., was in charge of arrangements.
