Ashley Claire Branan Joseph Bradley Sheffield Dr. and Mrs. William C. Branan of Washington announce the engagement of their daughter, Ashley Claire, of Athens, to Joseph Bradley Sheffield of Statesboro, son of Mr. and Mrs. B. Ralph Sheffield of Screven.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard F. Cobb of Athens and the late Mr. and Mrs. William D. Branan of Washington.

She is a 2004 graduate of the University of Georgia in Athens where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Family and Consumer Sciences - Child and Family Development. Miss Branan is currently employed with Mary Kay Cosmetics as Sales Director and as a Marketing and Promotions Consultant with Mal- Ad Promotions of Statesboro.

Mr. Sheffield is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Lester Dixon of Jesup and the late Mr. and Mrs. Andrew J. Sheffield of Screven.

He is a 2001 graduate of Georgia Southern University in Statesboro with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and completed his Masters of Business Administra- tion at Georgia Southern in 2003. Mr. Sheffield is currently employed as a Commercial Banker with Sea Island Bank in Statesboro.

The wedding is planned for Saturday, April 14, at 5 p.m. at First United Methodist Church in Athens.
