Amberly Aycock guest of honor at shower October 22

Amberly Ward Aycock, brideelect of Philip Louis Roberts, was honored at a miscellaneous shower on Sunday, October 22, in the Lincolnton Baptist Church Fellowship Hall in Lincolnton.

Hostesses for the occasion were Mrs. Barney Aycock Jr., Mrs. Larry Campbell, Miss Shirley Hogan, Mrs. James Marlow, Mrs. Tony Rowland, Mrs. Marsha Scott and Mrs. Jimmy Smith of Lincolnton

Miss Aycock, lovely in a fall ensemble of gold and brown, was presented an orchid corsage.

Her mother, Mrs. Marion Aycock, and grandmother, Mrs. Ina Drinkard Spratlin, of Lincolnton; the prospective bridegroom's mother, Mrs. James Roberts of Washington, joined the bride-elect in greeting guests.

Refreshment tables and tables for seating were overlaid with white cloths and held arrangements of yellow roses, gypsophila and leather leaf fern. Guests served themselves choosing from a variety of cakes including chocolate, caramel and apple spice along with toasted pecans and tea punch.

The hostesses presented Miss Aycock an exquisite Waterford crystal pitcher.

Approximately 80 guests attended.
