Briarwood Academy names first honor roll and merit list

John Hammond, headmaster of Briarwood Academy, has announced the students who have been named to the honor roll and the merit list for the first nine weeks grading period of the 2006-2007 school year.

Students named to the honor roll must have maintained a grade point average of 90 or above with no grade below 90.

Wilkes County students recognized for Honor Roll are Savannah Echols, Lance Lewis, Ford Walker, India Callaway, Hunter Callaway, Jonathan Davidson, Sylvia Walker, Austin Hardy, Cecilia Walker, Ben Danner, Jarrett Keen, Kayley Roberson, John Bounds, Russell Burdette, Brandy Ray, Tyler Edwards, Emily Henderson, Anna Goolsby, Adam Hardy, Lizzie Keen, Taylor Stitcher, Abby McAvoy, Ali Dyson, and Liz Grant.

Students named to the Merit List must have maintained a grade point average of 80 or above with no grade below 80.

Wilkes County students named to the Merit List are Alli Bennett, Lathan Roberson, Reagan Dyson, Justin Tucker, Marla Goolsby, Eli Holder, Ryan Pritchett, Saul Smith, Leon Denard, Brittany Ray, Macey Smith, Angela Kirkland, and Olivia Lyons.
