The sectional competition for Punt, Pass, and Kick was held Saturday, October 28, at Sweetwater Park in Thomson.

Wilkes County athletes who placed in each age category were Donald Saggus, fourth place in the eight-and-nine-year-old division; Jarrett Keen, first place in the 10- 11-year-old; Brandon Dill, second place in the 12-13-year-old; and Tom Saggus, third place in the 14- 15-year age group.

As a first place winner, Jarrett Keen will advance to the regional competition that will be announced later.

The Optimist Club of Washington expresses appreciation to all the young athletes and participants who made this event a success.
