The First Baptist Church, Washington, will have its 15th annual lighting of the Chrismon tree on Sunday evening, November 26, at 7 p.m.

The service includes a dramatized story of the proclamation of Jesus' birth as told by a shepherdess. The storytelling is interspersed with music and beloved carols and the hanging of Chrismons. The highlight of the program is the lighting of the Chrismon tree which will remain in the sanctuary through the Christmas season.

A family fellowship in the Mary Callaway Burton Fellowship Hall will follow the service. A nursery will be provided.

Members of the church invite everyone in the area to join with them in beginning the celebration of Christmas in Washington-Wilkes.
