Elizabeth Dunnaway visited her sister, Linda Ward, in Elberton Saturday. Mrs. Jamie Newsome and Anna of Martinez spent Tuesday with Mrs. Jenelle Newsome. Steve and Evan Currie of Greensboro, N.C., spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Richard Phillips. Stephanie Haynes, Skyla and Chip of Washington joined them for the weekend. Marvin Davenport and Linda McDonald of Hayesville, N.C., spent Friday through Monday with friends in Aonia and enjoyed hunting. Mr. and Mrs. Ronnie Scroggs of Jackson County spent the weekend at their place in Aonia and enjoyed hunting. They attended services at Ebenezer Baptist Church. Peyton Standard of Augusta spent several days with Mr. and Mrs. Keith Standard. He enjoyed attending church at Mt. Zion United Methodist. Mrs. Sara Huff enjoyed dinner with the Standards Sunday. Bobbie Thornton of Washington visited Miss Grace Dunaway last week. Mrs. Sara Huff and Cassie Goldman and Bryson visited in Thomson Tuesday. Mrs. Linda Standard, Mrs. Sara Huff, and Lona Chesnut were among those who attended visitation at the funeral home Sunday evening to be with the family of Evans Davis. We send our love and sympathy to his family. Trudy Ingram and Mr. and Mrs. Rick Appelt of Thomson enjoyed going to Commerce Saturday for some sightseeing. Mr. and Mrs. Matt Ryll, Connor and Calley, visited Mrs. Lucille Ingram and enjoyed supper. I went to Augusta on business several times last week. I visited my parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Wallace in Lincoln County, last week. Sunday afternoon I visited in Thomson. Our prayer concerns include Ed Durham, Priscilla and Morrison Maxwell, Frank Moon, Evelyn Cofer, Milton Broome, Trudy Sutherland, Mildred Marett, Raye Price, Charles Elam, Henry Wallace, Beth Keener, Miriam Richards, Seba Williamson, Mary Tarver, Mary Myers, Dr. Dempsey Guillebeau, Frances Prater, Jerry Robinson, Grady Rogers, Sherry Phillips, Jack Reynolds, Barbara Adams, Betty Moore, and Jenelle Newsome; the families of Evans Davis, Fred Corbett, Mrs. Glenn Hopkins (Marie Smalley's sister in N.C.), Tommy Drinkard, James Bailey, Howard Thaxton. Beverly Adams of Woodstock spent the weekend with Mrs. Ray Adams. Betty Moore spent Sunday with them and attended services at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church. Dr. Leonard Dupree is "fitting in" real well at Ebenezer. We had a good attendance Sunday and enjoyed his sermon on "Thanksgiving and Blessings." We enjoy him and his wife Jackie very much. Have a good week and do a kind deed for someone sick or elderly.
