Emily Bryan Shockley Vaughn
Graveside services for Emily Bryan Shockley Vaughn, 93, of Crawfordville Road, Philomath, were held Tuesday, November 14, 2006, at the Daniel-Bryan Cemetery in Philomath with Rev. Dr. William W. Oliver officiating. She died Saturday, November 1, at Wilkes Health Care Center, Washington.
Mrs. Vaughn was a native of Oglethorpe County where she had lived all of her life. She was the daughter of the late Robert C.D. Bryan and Nellie Pittard Bryan. She was a retired teacher and retired salesperson and was a member of the Philomath Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include two sons, Robert A. Shockley, Watertown, N.Y., and William G. Shockley Jr., Macon; two daughters, Nelda E. Vaughn and Virginia Vaughn, both of Philomath; six grandchildren and 13 greatgrandchildren.
