      I called a customer of mine and she was out. I listened to her answering machine message which in addition to the usual "I'm not here; please leave a message" included a spiritual message. It was one that got my attention. It said, "There's power in the tongue. Speak blessings, not curses. Speak life, not death.

Mulberry Baptist sets special services for month of December
      Mulberry Baptist Church has several special services scheduled during December. The Christmas program will be presented on Saturday, December 9, at 6 p.m. A Day of Prayer Service will be held Sunday, December 10, at 3 p.m. Rev. Robert Lee Crawford, pastor of the Mulberry Church, will be celebrating his 14th year as pastor on Sunday, December 17. Services begin with Sunday School at 10:30 a.m.

Special programs planned Dec. 17 at Tignall Baptist
      December 17 seems to be a good day for all church Christmas programs. The Tignall Baptist Church will have two special programs that Sunday. The Adult Worship Choir will be presenting a mini-musical Sunday morning called "Gather At the Manger." Sunday night at 6:00 the Kids Alive Choir will be presenting a program called "Christmas Around the World.
