Kiwanis Vice-President Bes Moore (left) presents $400 to Laura Toberen for the First United Methodist Church 2006 Angel Tree. The presentation was made at the regular meeting of the Kiwanis Club. Persons participating in the adoption of "Angels" from the tree, select a child's specifications and needs from the paper angels on the tree and supply gifts for them to be delivered in time for Christmas. Kiwanis fund-raising events such as paper recycling, Christmas wreath sales, and Kiwanis concessions at large events make funds available for gifts to the Angel Tree and many other community organizations.
