Gunters host Christmas fellowship for First Baptist Senior Choir Dec. 17
The Senior Choir of First Baptist Church enjoyed a fellowship at the home of Boots and Shirley Gunter on Berkshire Drive following the presentation of Sunday night’s cantata, “The Wonder of Christmas,” at the church.
The house was beautifully decorated both inside and out for the holiday season. The living and dining rooms were decorated in a gold, silver, pink and Burgundy theme. Festive Christmas trees were featured in the den and living room and another tabletop tree to the side in the dining room was done in gold with ribbon bows imprinted with the music from “Silent Night”. The dining table was centered with a crystal bowl embellished with crystal prisms and filled with gold, pink and Burgundy balls. Gold filigree, leaves and candles completed the setting.
Also used in decorating were treasured nativity scenes, groupings of holiday carolers, a Father Christmas displayed with cedar and lights, magnolia and candles.
Everyone enjoyed a delicious array of party foods with lemonade, spiced cider and coffee.
During the evening the group enjoyed singing “Happy Birthday” to Bob Simmons and to Boots Gunter.
Thirty-five guests attended.
