The third semester included the curriculum provided by Georgia Medical Care Foundation for certification in nursing assisting. Students were able to complete

clinicals at several local healthcare facilities including Wilkes Healthcare, Wills Memorial Hospital, Wilkes County EMS, Davita Dialysis, and Dr. Bruce Holes’ dental office. Seven of these students completed all requirements and have received their certification as nursing assistants.

To celebrate the success of these nine HSTE students, HOSA (Health Occupations Students of America) treated the students and their instructor, Ann Harrison, to a breakfast at the school on Thursday December 14.
