Students get backstage passes

2006-12-21 / Personalities

The annual fundraiser conducted at the Washington-Wilkes Primary School has been declared a success.

The money raised will be used to pay for incentive programs, for all the children to attend grade field trips, and to help defer the cost of a fence to be built around the new playground.

Top sales winners were Makala Mercier and Emily Connell. All the children who sold 15 items or more were treated to a BMX bike show by “Perfection On Wheels.”

Within the group of over 80 children who attended the bike show, around 15 children (shown above) who had sold 25 items or more were given backstage passes. The passes were used after the show to meet the stunt bikers and get autographs.
