WMH fashion show set Aug. 12; Lunch, show tickets going fast

Tickets for the Wills Memorial Hospital Auxiliary fall fashion show are going fast and may be purchased from Bee Southern, Den of Antiquities, Tena's Jewelry, or by calling Lefreda Adair at 706-678-1448.

Tickets are $12 each and entitle the holder to a delicious lunch, fashion show, and a chance to win some terrific door prizes. The show will be held Saturday, August 12, 11 a.m.-1 p.m., at the VFW Post Home on Andrew Drive.

Theme for the show is "Step Out in Style." Vendors from Washington and the surrounding areas of Lincolnton, Thomson, Greensboro, and Athens will showcase their new fall lines. Local models will add additional interest to the show to be emceed by Kay Nelms.

Following lunch and the show, those attending may shop at the "market place" provided by a variety of vendors.

A raffle drawing for a beautiful maple and cherry table made and donated by Bill Sleighter will conclude the activities. Tickets for the raffle are $2.00 each or three for $5.00, and may be purchased at Poss-Ace Hardware, or by calling Sandy Burton at 706-678-2333. The table is displayed at Poss-Ace Hardware in Downtown Washington.

The Hospital Auxiliary uses money from benefits to purchase needed items for Wills Memorial Hospital.
