Big Elberton fair set for October 2-7 seeking local talent

The 75th edition of the Elberton 12-County Fair is scheduled for October 2-7 in Elberton and organizers have announced that the fair is again seeking local talent and artists who would like to showcase their talents and skills. Musicians, gospel groups, church choirs, dance studios, and other organized groups or individuals are invited to appear on stage.

The regional Elberton 12-County Fair serves 10 counties in NE Georgia and two in South Carolina. The fair fields local and regional entertainment and brings in first class fair-type entertainment and acts to compliment a high-class family oriented carnival. New to the fair this year is the Robinson's Racing Pigs performing three shows per day.

The fair is also accepting vendors that can set up on the grounds at the fair or in the 30,000-sq.-ft. exhibit building. Spaces can be reserved by calling the fair office at 706-2833401 or by e-mail at hbullard@sc.rr.com.

To reserve a slot on the entertainment stage, individuals or groups should contact the entertainment coordinator, Phil Libby, at 706-2837379.
