Lunch and Learn Clubbers enjoy painting boxes

The Rayle Lunch and Learn Club met Wednesday, July 26, at Rayle City Hall. Peggy Echols opened the meeting and presided.

The program was given by Fran Thaxton with scripture reading and a story. A prayer by Fran opened the meeting and the treasurer's report was given by Shirley Chafin.

Business was discussed and everyone enjoyed painting and decorating little wooden boxes. They turned out real pretty and each one was different.

After the blessing by Mildred Sisson everyone enjoyed a good country meal brought by all the ladies.

Attending were Peggy Echols, Shirley Chafin, Fran Thaxton, Mildred Sisson, Mablean Sherrer, Ruth Flynt, Doris Smathers, Ann Williamson, and Sudie Kennedy. Everyone was glad to have Marian Hammond and Amy McAvoy visit.

The next meeting will be Wednesday, August 23, at 10 a.m. at the city hall. All ladies are I nvited to attend.
