Jackson Thornton celebrates second birthday July 20

Jackson Alexander Thornton, son of Mr. and Mrs. Mark Thornton, was two years old on July 20 and celebrated on two occasions.

On his birthday Jackson was treated to a pizza party at the Pizza Hut in Washington. Helping him celebrate were his parents and sister Laney; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Gene Thornton Jr. and Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Wilson; uncle, aunt and cousins, Mr. and Mrs. Ben Echols, Dylan and Taylor. Jackson's chocolate chip birthday cookie was served for dessert.

On Sunday afternoon, July 30, Jackson's parents hosted a birthday pool party at the Washington-Wilkes Country Club. After swimming and playing on the swings, guests enjoyed a delicious meal of hamburgers and hot dogs with all the trimmings served under the decorated pavilion. Jackson's "Clifford the Big Red Dog" birthday cake was served with homemade peach ice cream. "Doggie bags" filled with goodies were presented to Jackson's young guests.

Celebrating with Jackson and his parents were his sister Laney; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Thornton and Mr. and Mrs. Wilson; great-grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Gene Thornton; Mr. and Mrs. Ben Echols, Dylan and Taylor, Mr. and Mrs. Marc Hammond, Brock and Camden, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Hammond, Lola and Makayla, of Crawford, Terry McClain and Sydney, Mr. and Mrs. Chad Thornton and Mason, Mr. and Mrs. Tony Hammond and Katie McKellar of Augusta.
