GED testing set for Sept 7, 8; sign up on Thurs., Aug. 31

GED tests will be given in Washington Wilkes on September 7 and 8 in the fellowship hall of the First United Methodist Church.

Signup, which is mandatory, will be on Thursday, August 31, at 6 p.m. in the Wilkes County Adult Learning Center located in the old Wilkes Village Shopping Center behind McDonalds.

Polly Fievet, director of the Center, notes that the following items are required for signup: a Money Order ($65 for complete test or $13 per section); a picture identification (ID) (drivers license or state ID); and the applicant's Social Security number.
