Anthony Maddox Funeral services for Anthony Maddox, 40, were held Saturday, August 12, 2006, at the New Tabernacle Baptist Church, Lincolnton, with Rev. Matthew Hardin officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery. He died August 6 at the Medical College of Georgia Hospital in Augusta. Mr. Maddox was born in Brooklyn, New York, and was the son of Aron and Bessie Mahoney Maddox. He attended John Jay College in New York City and as a computer expert worked at Merrill Lynch, Paine Weber, DKYN, and New York Hospital. After moving to Atlanta he was employed at Hewlett Packard. He was a member of New Tabernacle Baptist Church, Lincolnton. Survivors include his parents, Bessie and Aron Maddox of Washington; a sister, Brenda Booker, Washington; three brothers, Aron Maddox Jr. of Baltimore, Md., Gerald Maddox of Waynesboro, and Robert Maddox of Key West, Fla.; and his grandmother, Kizzie Mahoney of Washington.
McLendon Memorial Funeral Home of Washington was in charge of arrangements.
