Luke McBride celebrates first birthday Aug. 8
Luke was treated on Saturday, August 5, with a pool party at his neighborhood pool. Balloons decorated the walkway and fence. A white tent was set up and decorated with streamers and a "Happy Birthday" sign. The table was decorated with Baby Einstein napkins and plates. Chick-Fil-A nuggets were served with goldfish, chips and drinks. Luke's birthday cake was decorated with a picture of himself in the pool with his baseball cap on and was trimmed in blue icing. Party favors were notebooks, crayon boxes filled with crayons and other goodies. His special gift was a Radio Flyer rocket from his parents. Approximately 31 guests attended the celebration. On Monday, August 7, Luke was treated to his first Atlanta Braves game by his parents and sisters, Mackenzie and Sydney. He enjoyed sitting between home plate and first base and loved dancing to the music and clapping when the Braves made a great play.
Luke's parents hosted another birthday celebration at their home on Friday, August 11, to honor Luke, his daddy, his great-grandmother, Catherine Flocker, aunts and cousins, Chrissie Pope, Cheryl Flocker and Leigh Whitaker. Gladioli decorated the table and guests enjoyed steak and pasta with tiramisu for dessert.
