Cooper plays in southeast region baseball tourney

Alex Cooper, son of Wayne and Angela Cooper of Covington, Georgia, recently played in the week long "Simply the Best" World Series for the Southeast Regional USSSA Baseball League. The tournament was held in Panama City, Florida.

Alex plays catcher and first base for the Covington Cubs, a traveling baseball team in the USSSA 12-andunder League. The Covington Cubs entered the tournament ranked second in the state and tenth in the nation. The team finished the week in second place.

Wayne and Angela Cooper traveled to Panama City with the team. Alex is the grandson of Grady and Ruth Rogers and late Bobby Danner of Washington.
