Bethesda Baptist sets homecoming Sunday, Aug. 20

Bethesda Baptist Church near Union Point, which is among the oldest churches in our Georgia Baptist Association, will have its annual homecoming day Sunday, August 20.

The homecoming speaker will be Dr. Leonard Dupree who has retired after serving in our Georgia Baptist Convention for a number of years. He has served as interim pastor at Lincolnton Baptist Church and was longtime pastor at the First Baptist Church in Thomson before taking a job serving in the Convention.

Revival services will be held Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday nights at 7 p.m. Guest speaker each night will be one of Phillips Mill's former pastors, Rev. Robert Jacobs, pastor of Oak Grove Baptist Church at Portal.

Rev. Jim Olds has served as pastor of Bethesda for the past nine years and has been active in the Georgia Baptist Association.
