Wheatley was faithful to God and to mankind

TO THE EDITOR:

Though I am no longer a resident of Wilkes County, I have remained close with the Wheatley family, Wallace and JoAnn in particular. I, like many in the community, was shocked to hear of his death, and the letter I just read from Joe Riley truly says it all!

He was such a wonderful person; always there to help anyone in need. His faithfulness to God and to mankind were always evident in his daily walk in life. I have many fond memories of him and JoAnn and am so very thankful to have been blessed with his friendship in this lifetime.

I just wanted to thank The News- Reporter for the wonderful sections devoted to Wallace and his kind nature and loving spirit! May God bless you all.
