W-WCHS Math Dept. sets orientation for Algebra I parents

The Math Department at Washington Wilkes Comprehensive High School will conduct a parent orientation meeting for the parents of any students currently taking Concepts of Problem Solving and Algebra I. The orientation will be held on Monday, August 28, in the Learning Logic labs in rooms 401 and 402 at the school.

Parents will have an opportunity to see how the system works and hear from their child's teacher what is expected from their child as a Learning Logic student. The math teachers request that a parent and the student attend during their allotted time slot and that the students bring their math notebooks with them.

Time slots will begin at 6:30 for first block LL students and continue on a 30-minute rotation for each block as follows:
6:30-7:00 ................ 1st Block
7:00-7:30 ............... 2nd Block
7:30-8:00 ............... 3rd Block
8:00-8:30 ................ 4th Block

It is the math department's desire to meet with each parent. If the above times are not convenient to a parent's schedule, an individual conference can be scheduled by contacting the school at 706-678-2426.
