Melanie Wells honored on 60th birthday Aug. 1

Tom Wells honored his wife, Melanie, on her 60th birthday at a family birthday dinner at their home at 515 South Jefferson Street Tuesday evening, August 1. He was assisted by their children, Tommy Wells and Angie Herndon.

The family enjoyed a delicious dinner of London broil, broccoli, grilled new potatoes, corn on the cob, butterbeans, pea salad and tomatoes.

Celebrating the occasion with the guest of honor and hosts were Debbie Wells, Trey Lannae, Billy, Kelly, Ben, Rett, Cailyn and Maggie Craycraft of Washington, Amy Lannae, Kerry and Drew Herndon of Athens, Jean Cole and Annsleigh Shropshire of LaFayette.

Following the family dinner Tommy and Debbie Wells hosted a birthday party with ice cream and cake at their home at 200 Cedar Street. Joining the family for the party were Kermit Hocutt, Pug and Kay Nelms, Jerry Stover, Buzzy and Jo Randall, Rosemary Hopkins and Edward Pope Jr.
