Boy Scouts learn canoe skills on Lake Boline
Washington Boy Scout Troop 34 practiced and learned new water skills Saturday on Lake Boline. Activities included learning water safety and safe canoeing skills, righting a swamped canoe, learning paddling strokes, and observing nature. The Boy Scouts are preparing for an upcoming canoe trip on the Savannah River. Participating in the training (left to right) were Walker Hargrove, Cliff Hargrove, Watson Wideman, David Jenkins, Bobby Standard, Adam Standard, Tommy Klaus, Doug Standard, Mason Klaus, Will Price and Adam Hackney. The Scouts ended the day with a service project by cleaning up trash left at Lake Boline.
