True faith and trust
Now, that's true faith and trust. Paul of old bore what the Bible calls a thorn in the flesh which some assume was an illness, but rather it was a demon spirit of satan that tormented and buffeted him for years without relief and God told him that His grace was sufficient. Paul fought the good fight of faith. And then Job, during his troubles, said, "Though He slay me, yet will I trust Him." Now, that's true faith and trust. Amen. Some have prayed, "Now, Lord, if you will do so and so, then I will serve you. Lord, if you will just work this miracle for me, then I will have greater faith in you." Rather what they should pray is, "Lord, you don't owe me anything. Rather I am indebted to you. You don't have to prove anything to me personally, but if you see fit and it's your will, then in your time I humbly ask this of you, but Lord, no matter what, yet will I continue to serve you and trust you."
I will say amen to that!
