The Lincoln-Wilkes Retired Educators Association will meet at the Mary Willis Library, 204 East Liberty St., Washington September 14, 11 a.m. Bring copy of the constitution and bylaws. All members, retired educators, and anyone who plans to retire from the field of education are invited.

Mt. Zion Baptist Church will have revival services September 4-7, 7:30 p.m. Rev. Frankie Jones will be the guest speaker.

The Wills Memorial Hospital Foundation will meet Tuesday, September 12, 5:30 p.m., in the hospital library.

The Wills Memorial Hospital Lunch and Learn will be Thursday, September 28, 12 noon, in the hospital library. Dr. D. Scott Lind from the Medical College of Georgia, will speak on breast cancer surgical procedures.

Heard's Chapel Baptist Church will celebrate the pastor's anniversary Sunday, September 3, 12:00 p.m.

Transforming Life Ministries will celebrate its 13th anniversary and the birthday and pastoral celebration of founder and convener, Amethyst D. Wynn, on September 3, 4:30 p.m., at the Third Shiloh Center, 219 McLendon Drive, Washington. The guest speaker will be Bishop Jonathan Greer II and his congregation from the Cathedral of Divine Love Church in Atlanta will be the guest church and choir along with the Springfield Community Choir, Washington. Dinner will be served and the public is invited.

The Athens Area Albany State Alumni Chapter will meet the third Sunday in each month at 5 p.m. at Hill Chapel Baptist Church, Athens. For further information, call Robin Booker at 678-4219.

Gibson Grove Baptist Church, Thomson Road, Washington, will celebrate the fifth anniversary of the pastor, Rev. Joseph B. Williams, on Sunday, September 3, at 11:30 a.m. Pastor L.V. Turman and Faith Christian Center Church will be in charge of the service.

Flint Hill Baptist Church will celebrate its 126th anniversary Sunday, September 3, 11:45 a.m.

There will be a country cooking supper at Fishing Creek Baptist Church Saturday, September 9, 6-8:30 p.m. Cost is $6.00 per plate for all you can eat. Proceeds will go to Jim and Diane Bolen to help cover expenses toward treatment for a serious illness.

Sardis Baptist Church at Rayle will have a special concert of gospel music on Sunday evening, October 1, at 7 p.m. "Forgiven," a gospel singing group from Lawrenceburg, Indiana, will present the concert which is free to anyone interested in attending. Rev. John Mark Carpenter, pastor of Sardis, and the congregation invite the public to attend.

The W-W Chapter 5320 AARP will meet September 11, 2 p.m., at the Senior Center. All National AARP members are invited to meet with the group and join the local chapter. "Together we can make a difference."

Booker's Chapel Baptist Church will celebrate its usher board anniversary Sunday, September 10, 4 p.m. The speaker will be Rev. S.A. Bishop, pastor of New Bethlehem Baptist Church, Carlton.

New Saints CME Church, 515 Baltimore Road, Washington, will hold this month's SNAP meeting Saturday, September 23, 10 a.m. New members are welcomed.

Young's Chapel Baptist Church will have pastor appreciation day Sunday, September 17, 12 noon. Dinner will be served.
