Adult volunteers are needed for Wilkes Girl Scout groups

The Girl Scouts of Northeast Georgia Council which serves Wilkes County is located in Athens at the Clementi L-B Holder Center with an out-based service center in Gainesville and a satellite office in Cumming.

Currently the council serves 6,500 girls and more than 2,000 adult members.

"There is a great need for adult volunteers to work with Girl Scouts," says Terri R. Bear, membership specialist with the council. "Volunteers can choose how little or how much time and energy they can give - an hour, a day, or maybe just a thank you to Girl Scout troop or group leaders."

Girls are always the number one priority with Girl Scouts of the U.S.A. Girls will receive benefits from the unique all-girl environment which will carry them through life. Some of these benefits are: Having a lot of fun while building

lasting friendships;
