Adult volunteers are needed for Wilkes Girl Scout groups
Currently the council serves 6,500 girls and more than 2,000 adult members. "There is a great need for adult volunteers to work with Girl Scouts," says Terri R. Bear, membership specialist with the council. "Volunteers can choose how little or how much time and energy they can give - an hour, a day, or maybe just a thank you to Girl Scout troop or group leaders." Girls are always the number one priority with Girl Scouts of the U.S.A. Girls will receive benefits from the unique all-girl environment which will carry them through life. Some of these benefits are: Having a lot of fun while building lasting friendships; of the many cultures and people in the world through exploration and interaction with sister troops and Girl Guides in over 128 countries; and Becoming better prepared for the future through career investigation, service, and skill building. Any adult who would like to know more about volunteering to serve Girls Scouts can call Terri Bear at 706-548-7297, ext. 354; or 800-300-4475. lasting friendships; Acquiring leadership skills and selfawareness through interaction with peers; Enjoying educational
