Washington Personal Mention Bill Rousey and son Cole spent several days recently in the North Georgia mountains and enjoyed playing golf with friend, Richard Kelley. Cole has returned to his home in Holden, Me., after a 10week stay with his father in Washington. Mr. and Mrs. Tommy Rousey, Erin and Cliff, of Julian, N.C., visited recently with Bill Rousey and Cole and family, Mr. and Mrs. Julius Rousey. Rev. and Mrs. Chris Townsend, Garston and Henry, enjoyed the weekend in Atlanta with Mr. and Mrs. Ronnie Townsend. Other visitors included Mrs. Janie Tabor and Audrey of Lilburn. Mr. and Mrs. Doug Tyler of Norcross visited Saturday with Mrs. Richard Tyler. Mr. and Mrs. Hudson Hopkins of Thomson visited Sunday with Mrs. Dennis Hopkins. Mr. and Mrs. Steve Blackmon attended an 80th surprise birthday celebration honoring his former Class of l943, Washington High School classmate, Bill Clary, given by Mr. Clary's daughter and her husband, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Bobbeshell, at their home in Atlanta. Co-hosts were son and daughter-inlaw, Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Clary, also of Atlanta. The Blackmons were overnight guests in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Clary in Atlanta. James Miller of Athens visited Monday night with his grandmother, Mrs. Frank Story, and joined in celebrating her birthday. Molly Wallace of Conyers visited Wednesday with her grandmother, Mrs. Robert Wallace. Mr. and Mrs. Edward Pope Jr. enjoyed the weekend in Maryville, Tenn., with Mr. and Mrs. Craig Thomas. Mrs. Frank Story and Mrs. Jim Garner joined Mrs. Story's daughter, Mrs. Olan Miller, and granddaughter, Elizabeth Miller, both of Watkinsville, in attending a Women's Ministry Seminar and Luncheon at Prince Avenue Baptist Church. After the event, all went to the Miller home for a birthday celebration honoring Mrs. Story.
Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Gunter Jr. were Mr. and Mrs. Bill Hale, Emmeline and Isabelle, of Athens; and Mr. and Mrs. Cread Brown, Luke and Porter, of Thomson. August birthdays of Mrs. Brown and Bill Hale were celebrated along with new grandson, Porter's first "family" visit to Washington.
