Childers to speak at Tea and Learn on infection control

Wills Memorial Hospital will host a Tea and Learn September 8 at 2:30 p.m. at the WMH Café.

Shelby Childers, RN, Infection Control Officer at Wills Memorial Hospital will speak about how infection control applies to issues concerning our everyday life.

Mr. Childers graduated from the University of Georgia in l975 with a Bachelors in Anthropology, and Coastal Georgia Community College in Brunswick in l985 with an Associate in Nursing. His last assignment was with Focus by the Sea in St. Simons where he was the Director of Nursing. He has been employed in the medical field for 21 years serving in the emergency room, employee health, and as an infection control officer.

He and his wife, Rene, reside in Sharon. They have two children and two grandchildren.
