Services to celebrate ministry of Evangelist Amethyst Wynn

Transforming Life Ministries will have its 13th anniversary worship service and a birthday and pastoral dinner celebration for Amethyst D. Wynn, founder and convener of Transforming Life Ministries, on Sunday, September 3.

The event will be held at 4:30 p.m., at the Third Shiloh Center, 219 McLendon Drive, Washington.

Bishop Jonathan Greer II and the Cathedral of Divine Love Church United in Christ of Atlanta will be special guests for the celebration. Other guests will include the Springfield Community Choir, Pastor Willie H. Rolland, Christ City of Prayer Church, Rev. James L. Lawson, Jackson Chapel AME Church, and the master and mistress of ceremonies, Ministers Charlie and Rosie Crawford of Laborers and Harvest Outreach Ministry of Covington.

Bishop Greer will deliver the message for the occasion. He has been a dynamic spiritual and inspirational leader for more than 35 years and a preacher for over 55 years. He has been Miss Wynn's pastor since 1982 and was formerly pastor of Cathedral of Faith, Church of God in Christ for 21 years.

During his career he has founded three churches, implemented an annual international mission and initiated many ministries to support the needs of African-Americans and others throughout the United States, Haiti, and Sub-Sahara Africa.

Bishop Greer is the founder and CEO of the Showers of Blessings Ministry Inc., and is an author, lecturer, organist, musician, and inspirational and motivational speaker. He has recorded several albums, including Grammy nominated "He's Worthy."

The scripture theme for the celebration is "For the Lord God will help me; therefore shall I not be confounded: therefore have I set my face like a flint, and I know that I shall not be ashamed." Isaiah 50:7.

The public is invited to attend.
