Free concert by 'Forgiven' set for October 1 at Sardis Baptist

"Forgiven" will sing at Sardis Baptist in October.
"Forgiven" of Lawrenceburg, Ind., will be giving a free special concert at Sardis Baptist Church, Rayle, on Sunday evening, October 1, at 7 p.m.

Rev. John Mark Carpenter, Sardis pastor, and the congregation are excited about being able to offer this gospel music concert with quality and dignity.

Members of "Forgiven" include Cloid and Debbie Baker along with Gayle "Tank" Tackett who have devoted more than 30 years of their Christian lives to singing the good news of Jesus Christ.

The Bakers have a rich heritage in gospel music, as their backgrounds include serving with the Gaithers and the Weatherfords. The Bakers started the group in 1988 and they have expanded their ministry each year, increasing the number of

singing dates and areas where they serve. They have two children, both married and serving the Lord in their local churches.

Gayle Tackett sang with the Weatherfords, Jerry & The Singing Goffs, and Hovie Lister, and the Statesman Quartet. He and his wife have three children and three grandchildren.

"Forgiven" has recorded for Counterpoint Products, the Eddie Crook Company in Nashville, Tenn., on their Morning Star Label, and the Forgiven Music Group. In May 2003 they were featured in their distinguished Singing News Magazine.

Sardis Baptist Church is located approximately 10 miles west of Washington off Highway 78 in Rayle. For more in formation, contact Rev. John Mark Carpenter at 770-297-1396.
