Tignall Baptist holds appreciation service for Finchers Sunday

Pastor Appreciation Day was held at the Tignall Baptist Church Sunday.

The service began with some members of the Adult II Sunday School Class joining the choir. As the choir exited the choir loft, Ronnie Futch, chairman of deacons, presented Dale and Kay Fincher with gag gifts from the church before Larry Pullen (the chairman of deacons when Dale came to the church) presented them with matching engraved watches.

Both men had comments to make to Dale and Kay about their appreciation.

Rebekah Poss of Elberton, daughter of Kathy and the late Elliott Poss, sang two songs. Rev. Lem Clark of Penfield Christian Home spoke of his appreciation for Dale. Three members of Penfield gave their touching testimonies.

Dr. Leonard DuPree of Thomson preached the sermon. Rev. Dale Fincher's brother, Larry Fincher, and his family of Rome came for the service which was a complete surprise to Dale and Kay.

After the service, everyone enjoyed a covered dish meal in the Family Life Center.
