DUI arrests lead offenses in round up of August's law enforcement activity A round-up of law enforcement activity for the month of August shows a large number of arrests for driving under the influence and property crimes. Levar Grant, 26, of Wilkes County, was arrested August 31 by Wilkes County deputies and charged with theft by taking. He was held on $3,500 bond. Tracy Lynn Milton, 17, of Washington, was arrested August 30 by Wilkes County deputies and charged with possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance; riot; and unlawful assembly. He was held on $60,000 bond. Wilburn Barker Jr., 32, of Tignall, was arrested August 28 by Wilkes County deputies and charged with felony auto theft. No bond amount was noted. Sarah Frances Jones, 45, of Tignall, was arrested August 27 by the Georgia State Patrol and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, and with driving on a revoked or suspended license. She was held on $3,000 bond. Loreto Bautista Solorsano, 26, of Athens, was arrested August 27 by Wilkes County deputies and charged with a drivers license violation and with speeding. He paid a cash fine of $282. Jarvis Lamont Banks, 27, of Washington, was arrested August 26 by Wilkes County deputies and charged with disorderly conduct. He was released on payment of $135 cash fine. Tanisha Nicole Starks, 26, of Rayle, was arrested August 26 by Wilkes County deputies and charged with disorderly conduct. She was released on payment of $135 fine. Jamie Norman, 32, of Washington, was arrested August 25 by Washington Police and charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon; criminal trespass; driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, and driving with a suspended or revoked license. He is held on a probation violation. Calvin Terrill Wynn, 18, of Washington, was arrested August 24 by Washington Police and charged with riot and unlawful assembly. No bond was noted. Bryant Keith Quinn, 17, of Washington, was arrested August 24 by Washington Police and charged with riot and unlawful assembly. No bond was noted. Jarvis Milton, 19, of Washington, was arrested August 24 by Wilkes County deputies and charged with riot and unlawful assembly. No bond was noted. Chris Deon Dean, 17, of Wilkes County, was arrested August 25 by Wilkes County deputies and charged with public indecency. No bond was noted. Paul Edward Davis, 47, of Washington, was arrested August 24 by the Georgia State Patrol and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, and with a violation of the open container law. He was released on $2,200 bond. Andrew K. Moon, 29, of Demorest, Ga., was arrested August 22 by Wilkes County deputies and charged with felony theft by taking. He was held on $5,000 bond. Michael McAvoy, 60, of Wilkes County, was arrested August 19 by Wilkes County deputies and charged with aggravated assault. No bond was noted. Jamal Demarrio Evans, 26, of Washington, was arrested August 22 by Washington Police and charged with possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance; ob struction of law officers, a traffic violation and a license violation. He is held on $31,000 bond. Trent Lamond Norman, 21, of Rayle, was arrested August 22 by Wilkes County deputies and charged with a probation violation. Larry Wilburn Barker Sr., 50, of Elberton, was arrested August 18 by Wilkes County deputies and charged with theft by taking. He was released on $12,000 bond. Clarence Lee Shank, 53, of Washington, was arrested August 16 by Washington Police and charged with felony entering an auto with intent of felony; and one charge of theft by taking. He was held on $8,000 bond. Greg Paul Griffee, 39, of Thomasville, Ga., was arrested August 17 by Wilkes County deputies and charged with driving on a revoked license; operation of a motor vehicle without current plates; alteration of plates; driving without insurance; and speeding. He was released on $2,099 cash bond. Darrell M. Kavanaugh Jr., 45, of Danielsville, Ga., was arrested August 17 by a Georgia State Patrol trooper and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, and with speeding. Lloyd Gladmon, 59, of Washington, was arrested August 9 by Washington Police and charged with obstruction of an officer. He was held on $3,500 bond. Nancy A. Price, 31, of Tignall, was arrested August 11 by Wilkes County deputies and charged with theft by taking. She was released on bond. Malinda L.
