Pet of the week

This dark gray colored Pharoah Hound, Shar-Pei-mix is the second of the two dogs. The female was featured in last week's paper. She is light gray.

Both are older puppies, very affectionate, and elegant-looking with soft silky coats.

The Pharoah Hound is the oldestknown domesticated dog, dating back to 4000 B.C. in ancient Egypt, and owned by kings and nobles. They are intelligent, as is the SharPei, and full of fun.

These are very special pups. Visit the Washington-Wilkes Animal Shelter at 358 Brown Road in Washington or call 706-678-CATS to see them or inquire about them.
