Childers to speak at Tea and Learn on infection control

Shelby Childers, RN, Infection Control Officer at Wills Memorial Hospital, will be the featured speaker at the WMH Tea and Learn on September 8, at 2:30 p.m. in the hospital café.

Mr. Childers will speak about how infection control applies to issues concerning everyday life.

He graduated from the University of Georgia in l975 with a Bachelors of Anthropology and an Associate in Nursing from Coastal Georgia Community College in Brunswick in l985. His last assignment was with Focus by the Sea in St. Simons where he was Director of Nursing. He has been employed in the medical field for 21 years serving in the emergency room, employee health, and as infection control officer.

Mr. Childers and his wife, Rene, reside in Sharon. They have two children and two grandchildren.
