Alfred Burr Thomas A memorial service for Alfred "Al" Burr Thomas, 85, of Washington was held Saturday, September 2, in the Washington Presbyterian Church with Rev. Randy Hardy officiating. He died Tuesday, August 29, in Wills Memorial Hospital. Mr. Thomas was a native of East Norwalk, Connecticut, and was the son of the late Benjamin Joseph Thomas and the late Laura Davis Thomas. He was Vice-President of Sales for Faraday, Inc., and was a Mason and a member of the Old Well Masonic Lodge #108 of the AF&AM of Norwalk, Conn. He served in the U.S. Army in World War II under General Dwight D. Eisenhower in the European-African Middle Eastern Theater. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Washington where he served as a trustee. Survivors include his wife, Peggy Thomas of Washington; 13 nieces and nephews; and 20 great-nieces and nephews.
