Mark Anthony Harper Graveside services for Mark Anthony Harper, 48, of Smyrna, Tennessee, were held Wednesday, September 6, 2006, at 11 a.m., at the Sardis Baptist Church Cemetery, Rayle, with Rev. John Mark Carpenter officiating. He died Friday, September 1, at his home. Mr. Harper was a native of Wilkes County and had lived here most of his life. He was the son of Robert and Edith Howard Harper of Rayle. He was a computer technician and a member of a Southern Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Pamela Potts Harper of Smyrna, Tenn.; his parents, Robert and Edith Harper, Rayle; two daughters, Jennifer and John Eggenspiller of Washington Court, Ohio, and Laura Harper of Washington; a son, Adam Harper of Monroe; a step-daughter, Laura Pomerleau of Atlanta; a stepson, Shawn Laws of Nashville, Tenn.; two brothers, Bobby Harper and William Harper of Rayle; and a grandchild, Mason Robert Harper. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, Memphis, Tenn.
Hopkins Funeral Home of Washington was in charge of arrangements.
