Booker's Chapel Baptist Church's Men's Ministry will hold a men's conference entitled "Men Reaching Beyond the Church Walls" on Saturday, September 30, 11 a.m. The conference will address issues that are facing families from the young to the old. Even though it is a men's conference, everyone is invited, especially youth groups.
The Wilkes County Baptist Church will have homecoming Sunday, September 17, with special singing at 10:30 a.m. Gordon Combs of Franklin will be the guest speaker and lunch will be served. There will be a general membership meeting of the Washington Wilkes Humane Shelter Association (W-WHSA) Tuesday, September 19, 6 p.m., at the Mary Willis Library.
Sardis Baptist Church at Rayle will have a special concert of gospel music on Sunday evening, October 1, at 7 p.m. "Forgiven," a gospel singing group from Lawrenceburg, Indiana, will present the concert which is free to anyone interested in attending. The Wills Memorial Hospital Auxiliary Celebrity Waiters Dinner to benefit Wills Memorial Hospital will be Tuesday, October 10, 7 p.m., at the W-WCHS Cafeteria.
