If only the back seat of that '55 Olds could talk... More than a hundred cars, trucks, and motorcycles filled The Square for the annual Fall Cruise-In Saturday. Sponsored by the Memory Lane Cruisers and the City of Washington, the twice-a-year cruise-in attracts vehicles from a wide area, especially in the CSRA. The club uses profits from the Cruise-Ins to make donations to various causes in the county. Last year's donations went to the Wilkes County First Responders,Washington-Wilkes Animal Shelter, Wills Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, the Mary Willis Library, and the Nancy C. Long Walk of Hope.
