Lunch and Learn club meets for meal, business

The Rayle Lunch and Learn met at Rayle City Hall August 23.

Mille Mansfield prayed the opening prayer. Fran Thaxton gave a wonderful devotion with scripture and a story. Peggy Echols led the meeting and gave the treasurer's report in the absence of Shirley Chafin. Bonnie Boatwright gave the secretary's report.

A fellowship and business session were held. Cards were sent out. A wonderful meal brought by the members was enjoyed by all present.

Others attending besides Peggy, Fran, and Bonnie were Mildred Sisson, Betty Winfrey, Ruth Flynt, Sudie Kennedy, Millie Mansfield, and Pam Davis.

Everyone missed the ones who did not come and are looking forward to seeing them back.

Any lady who would like to visit, our next meeting will be September 27 at 10 a.m., at Rayle City Hall. After a brief meeting a car pool will leave for Thomson for lunch at Iverys. You are welcome to come and join us.
