Cornelia Johnson Circle members enjoy picnic Sept. 5

The Cornelia Johnson Circle of the Washington First United Methodist Church enjoyed a picnic and boat ride on Clark Hill Lake on Tuesday, September 5.

Mrs. Charles Adair was hostess for the affair at her family lake house on Clark Hill Lake.

The group of ladies rode on the pontoon boat with Mrs. Adair serving as "captain". While on the lake they had a picnic supper of barbecue sandwiches with all the trimmings.

Mrs. Adair gave a short meaningful devotional on God's creation while anchored in a quiet cove on the lake.

Joining Mrs. Adair were Rev. Gale Seibert and her special guest, Rev. Linda Jones of Lincolnton; also, Mrs. Ben Bell, Mrs. Bill Smith, Mrs. Jack Delany, Mrs. Buddy Lindsey, Mrs. Jim Barry, Mrs. David Thornton and Mrs. David Toburen.
