A new wheelchair for Pre-K
In a public-private collaborative, a new wheelchair has been purchased for the Washington-Wilkes Pre-K. At the presentation were (l-r) Tony Powell of Georgia Respiratory HomeCare and Medical Equipment, Mayor Willie E. Burns, Pre-K Director Patricia Wilder, and Principal Wanda Jenkins. Powell and the mayor teamed up to provide the needed wheelchair, Burns said, and funds were made available from the Mayor's Inaugural Fund.
